I was contacted by Integrity Music last week to see if I would be interested in being added to their media database, which would allow me to receive pre release copies of new projects and review them on my blog. (Pretty SWEET!)

I was honored to accept this offer!!! (Thanks Shannon!) So, over the next few weeks I will be reviewing all of the new CD’s.  Stay tuned…..

• You, You Are God – Great opener! The guys @ Gateway write some great stuff!!
• Dancing Generation – First time we’ve done this song, I think it went OK.  I want to do it a couple more times to see if it is going to gel with the people. 
• To Know Your Name – Great song!! However, I don’t know how long I will keep this one on the list.  
• Counting on God – Love it!!  

4 Incredible Years!!!

WOW!!! Thank you God for allowing me to share 4 great years with my beautiful wife!!!  This date 4 years ago my life changed forever, I was blessed to say “I do” to the most gorgeous woman in the world!!! (I married WAY out of my league, thanks God!)

Thanks Babe for sharing your life with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

• Opened up with a baby dedication, Love to see parents offering their families to the Lord!
• YES, we did ”Father Abraham” – we pushed the tempo a bit and changed up the chord progression and it sounded great!  It was really cool to see people of all ages singing and doing the motions to this song!!!!  Fun stuff!!  Kudos to dustin for changing up the progression!
• Salvation Is Here – One of my favorites! It was so cool to hear our people singing this song, they were singing so loud that you could hear them over the music!!! Pretty stinkin cool!! 
• Kingdom Come – another great song!  Went well!

• My lead player was out, he had training for his new job @ the Apple Store. 
• Did some songs that were more acoustic driven.
• Lee (drummer) took a week off from playing.
• Thanks Jamie for filling in on the drums for us, great job!!!
• Everlasting God – This is a great song, but I am really tired of it!!!
• For Who You Are – Work well without the lead part.
• From the Inside Out – One of my favorite songs!  Sounded different without the lead part on the intro.  Our people have connected with this song and they SING IT! Love to hear them lifting their voices unto Him!!!

Life’s Too Short

 

Kourt and I are hosting another young couples Life Group that begins tomorrow night (Friday) @ 7 p.m.

We have been doing studies from Andy Stanley, but decided we would change it up a bit and do a study from Ed Young. You can go here to read about it.

It is going to be exciting to see what God is going to show us through this study!
