Sunday Recap 11.30.2008

November 30, 2008 · 3 Comments

Check out more set lists here.

1.  Happy Day – Tim Hughes

2.  Healer – Hillsong

3.  Promises – Desperation Band

  • Still not totally well!!  I kept loosing my voice during worship, still fighting a lot of congestion.
  • Happy Day – It’s been awhile since we have done this song, good opener.  The intro was shaky because Joseph started in the key of D (I think) everyone else was in C, we play the song in C.  It all worked out though.
  • Healer – Great song!  I think our people connect with this song well.
  • Promises – Love the song but I think we have sang it to death.
  • Attendance was really down.
  • Good worship service.

Sunday Recap 11.09.2008

November 9, 2008 · 5 Comments

Check out more Set lists here.

Set list:

1.  Salvation is Here – Hillsong United

2.  Adonai – Hillsong

3.  I Will Boast – Paul Baloche

  • Been out of town for a few days, gotta get back in the swing of things.
  • We only did 3 songs so we could give more time for the message.
  • The band is tight on Salvation Is Here, guess that’s because I have great musicians and we have played that song a million and one times
  • Adonai went well, good song for the people to sing along with.
  • Not so sure I like “I Will Boast” (I mean I like the song just don’t know if it works for us) it went well and it seems like the people like it… I think we will keep it in the mix and pull it out from time to time.
  • @ the end of service we came up and did “From the Inside Out”, still love this song!!

Sunday Recap 11.2.2008

Check out more setlists here.

Set List:

1.  Kingdom Come – Hillsong

2.  I Will Boast – Paul Baloche

3.  Endlessly – Desperation Band

4.  Marvelous Light – Charlie Hall

  • Kingdom Come – Great song!  For some reason I just checked out during the bridge of this song.  I came in way too early but thank the Lord the band followed me…. it was really awkward!!!  My bad guys!
  • I Will Boast – First time we have done this song.  Different style of song for us but I think it went really well.
  • Endlessly – Great song but I really don’t know how well it gels with the people, seems a little tough for them to sing.
  • Marvelous Light – Did this one with just the band and me on keys.  We don’t do it the traditional way, we turn it into more of a worship song and slow it down. Great song and great arrangement.
  • Crowd was up!!!
  • Great Sunday!!
